Teaching

I offer individual lessons, group classes, and workshops on traditional Greek music, North Indian classical music, and ethnomusicological topics. My teaching style integrates a deeply embodied approach to musical relating with a rigorous academic focus honed through years of research and doctoral training as an ethnomusicologist, researcher, and university lecturer. Please contact me via email for inquiry around rates and logistics.

I also offer workshops and classes in permaculture listening skills – sit spot listening, ecological awareness and befriending place. I see the practice of sit spot listening as a fundamental musical practice; to truly hold music we must be aware of and in reverence to the expressive capacities of the true muses of the earth. This is a part of my philosophy and praxis that shapes my approach to all teaching and music-making.
